报告题目:Numerics and analysis for vector potential MHD equations

报告摘要:In practical engineering applications, people choose magnetic potential as the variable for magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) calculations, but generally the mathematical models are difficult to solve through the traditional numerical methods. In this talk, we mainly report some recent research results on incompressible magnetohydrodynamic model based on magnetic potential variables and its numerical methods. We will discuss some strong convergence and error estimation results of the numerical discretization solution of the model, as well as the existence and well-posedness of weak solutions of the model. The numerical method of the magnetohydrodynamic model with magnetic potential variables has the characteristic of always producing fully divergence-free magnetic induction,while its computational difficulty and solving efficiency are comparable to traditional magnetohydrodynamic models. Finally, the reliability of the model and the effectiveness of the numerical method were verified through plenty three-dimensional numerical experiments.
专家简介:毛士鹏,中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员、博士生导师,中科院大学岗位教授。2008年博士毕业于中科院数学与系统科学研究院,2008-2012先后在法国国家信息自动化研究院(INRIA)以及在瑞士苏黎世高工(ETH Zurich)做博士后和研究助理。2008-2019在中科院数学与系统科学研究院分别任助理研究员和副研究员,2019年4月升任研究员。主要研究兴趣为有限元方法及其应用,计算流体力学和磁流体力学,多物理场耦合计算等。在 Math. Comp.、Numer. Math.、SIAM系列等杂志上发表论文80余篇,主持和参加多项国家自然科学基金项目和科技部重点研发计划项目,曾入选中科院青年创新促进会会员和获得中科院朱李月华优秀教师奖等。
